A Lifesaving piece of Software - WinSock XP Fix 1.2

Why did I write in the title: "A Lifesaving piece of Software -  WinSock XP Fix 1.2" ? It`s because it really is! A few days ago I installed Hamachi Log Me In software, because I wanted to create VPN (virtual private network). After rebooting  the PC i couldn`t connect to the Internet anymore. Then I tried to uninstall Hamachi application, but it didn`t work as it should. I managed to uninstall application, but I have had some problems with Hamachi network adapter (it couldn`t be disabled). The best solution is to find it`s driver location  (you can find it in Device Manager under Network adapters) and delete the driver manually.
Still, that didn`t fix my Internet connection. I looked for the solution at the forums, and found piece of software called WinSock XP Fix 1.2. This software reverts certain Windows networking registry values to their defaults, thus resetting the Windows network stack to default operation.

Fixes the winsock settings on your Windows XP machine. This tool is recommended for IT professionals only.

It can often cure the problem of lost connections after the removal of Adware components or improper uninstall of firewall applications or other tools that modify the XP network and Winsock settings.

If you encounter connection problems after removing network related software, Adware or after registry clean-up; and all other ways fail, then give WinSock XP Fix a try.

It can create a registry backup of your current settings, so it is fairly safe to use. We actually tested it on a test machine that was having a Winsock problem due to some Adware removal, and after running the utility and rebooting, the connectivity was restored.
